The project has several challenges to face: triangular site shape, steep contour, conservation building to

maintained, building height limit and location in close proximity to Singapore Istana. Therefore the concept is straight forward, simple, and efficient.

Black and white is the core concept, a homage to duality, old and new, past and future. Landscape plays an important role as to elevate old building to its former glory.
